The Post Volunteer Fire Department was busy rounding up cattle Monday night, after an 18-wheeler overturned near Post. No people were injured. As for the 79 head of cattle on board, about two dozen were killed. It all happened around 8:00 Monday night.
Authorities say the driver of a pickup was trying to pass the 18-wheeler, when he went off the road then overcorrected. The tractor trailer swerved to avoid the truck, then overturned.
Emergency crews were still attempting to cut the survivors from the wreckage as of late Monday night. Cleanup is expected to take several hours.
