Committee to Look at Lubbock County Office Hours

As of right now, the Lubbock County Courthouse will remain open on Fridays.

Monday morning, Lubbock County Commissioners voted to appoint a committee that would look at the effects if changes were made to courthouse hours.

To save money on utility costs, commissioners are looking at the possibility of shifting courthouse hours and possibly closing on Fridays. The committee will study whether some departments should open earlier or close later, or stay open through lunch to better serve people who use county offices.
