New Lubbock County Constable Named

The next Lubbock County Constable Precinct Two was announced Wednesday.

The Lubbock County Republican Party says former Slaton police officer Joe Pinson will run unopposed in November.

Pinson will fill the position left vacant by Larry Johnson. Johnson died in April after a horse riding accident near Smyer.

County commissioners must appoint Pinson on an interim basis until he takes office in January.
