Man Hit By SUV on S.Loop 289 - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock man is hospitalized after being struck by an SUV. Police say Lester Newman, 28, was running across the access road on South Loop 289, near Quaker, around 2:40 a.m. Thursday, when he was hit by an SUV.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police say it is illegal for pedestrians to cross the Loop anywhere but at a controlled intersection.
