A report is in the works into why some FFA visitors had to stay in Texas Tech dorm rooms, instead of their reserved hotel rooms. This comes at the request of Visit Lubbock board members Monday morning.
NewsChannel 11 first told you about the FFA hotel mix up a week ago after some Lubbock hotels did not honor reservations. The nearly 500 participants without rooms were quickly moved into dorms. We're told the mix up cost Visit Lubbock thousands of hotel/motel tax dollars.
Executive Director of Visit Lubbock Marcy Jarrett tells NewsChannel 11 the report will cover both the hotel mix up and successes of the convention. The report is expected to be in board members hands sometime this week.
