A Look at Your Eyes May Help Determine if You Are at Risk For Diabetes
A quick snapshot of the eyes could serve as an early indicator for diabetes.
Two scientists from the University of Michigan have invented a new screening device that measures stress and tissue damage in the retina. It is a simple five-minute test that can find high levels of cellular fluorescence, an indicator of diabetes, before the first symptoms up.
Researchers say this tool could be a quick way to screen patients for diabetes when they get their eyes checked.
