Tuesday's grand jury indictment reveals new information about the case of a Planview man accused of attacking and tasing his victims.
When NewsChannel 11 first told viewers about the case, police had only identified two victims. Now, 33-year-old Timothy Barbian stands indicted on three counts of aggravated kidnapping. That means three separate victims, and authorities now tell NewsChannel 11 that two victims were sexually assaulted while a third fought her way free.
Police arrested Barbian at his parents' home in Plainview on July 15th. The assaults happened in Lubbock, two on July 3rd and the last on July 10th. "He had me handcuffed, and I broke the handcuffs, because he was suffocating me," the victim told 911 on July 10th.
Tuesday, we learned investigators found packaging from toy, metallic hand-cuffs in the white, Chevy Tahoe that the victims say Barbian was driving.
Since his arrest, authorities say he could be linked to three more sexual assaults from 2006. In those cases, the victims say the man drove a pick-up. We also learned Tuesday that investigators found a truck, matching the description from those assaults at Barbian's home.
Barbian remained in the Lubbock County Jail Tuesday night on a $250,000 bond.

NewsChannel 11's Ben Lawson explains why investigators suspect Timothy Barbian, 33, is also behind a string of similar assaults dating back to 2006.
