First Lady Coming to Lubbock

First Lady Laura Bush is coming to Lubbock this weekend and security preparations are well underway.

Officers from the Lubbock Police Department, Texas Tech, the Sheriff's Department and members of the Secret Service gathered on Tuesday to discuss security procedures for the First Lady. Mrs. Bush will be in town to view the Vatican exhibit this Saturday, she will walk through the exhibit on a controlled tour, then is scheduled to sit down one on one with local members of the media.

Security at the Vatican has been tight since it opened in June. So far about 64,000 people have stopped off at the Texas Tech Museum to view the ancient Fresco's.
