Former Oiler Returning to Houston as Texan

Gary Walker hopes that his second pro football experience in Houston will be better than his first. Walker is the only current member of the expansion Texans who also played for the Oilers.

He spent two seasons in baby blue before the team bolted for Tennessee after the 1996 season and became the Titans. The DT remembers the Oilers had already seen their glory days when he was drafted in 1995, and all they were talking about was moving to Tennessee.

He says it's a situation he'd like to forget. However, it worked out for him as he earned an All-Rookie Team selection in 1995.
