Lubbock Pumps Help Save Miners

Thank you for all your hard work, that is what the banner reads in front of the Goulds Pumps Factory in Lubbock. Last week, while the nation was captivated by the nine miners stuck underground, Goulds shipped two pumps to Pennsylvania to help in the rescuing effort.

Employees at Goulds worked around the clock preparing the equipment that was flown to Pennsylvania on a Boeing 737. The first pump lowered the water tremendously and at a rapid speed, and before using the second pump, rescuers found out the miners were alive.

Employees at Goulds are proud they could assist in the crisis.
