Crosbyton Water Rates Going Up

Water rates in Crosbyton are going up. Due to an increase in the price of water, city council members are raising the water rates in Crosbyton.

Crosbyton's water comes from the White River Municipal Water District, who is raising their price $0.65, so city officials will pass that increase on to residents. The rates are going from $19 a month for 3,000 gallons of water to $21 a month for 2,000 gallons of water -- plus $3 for each additional 1,000 gallons.

On Tuesday night, council members will meet to discuss increasing water rates for Crosby County citizens outside the city.
