The Dallas Mavericks re-signed Raef LaFrentz to a seven year contract on Tuesday. They acquired the big man with the outside touch at the trade deadline last season.
The 6' 11", 265 pound LaFrentz became a starter almost immediately after he and Nick Van Exel came over from Denver in February. The duo helped Dallas win a team record 57 regular season games. But the Mavericks went out in the second round of the playoffs, just like they did the previous season.
LaFrentz' contract is worth just shy of the maximum $84 million.
