Posted:

A fire in east Lubbock leads to the rescue of mans' best friend.

Fire crews responded to a house fire at 26th and Cedar Avenue just after 7 a.m. Friday. They say there was no one home at the time, but two dogs were inside the house. One of them managed to get out, but the second was rescued by firefighters. He was resuscitated in the back yard, and is now in the care of a veterinarian.

Investigators have not said how this fire started.
