A report on Wednesday claims that the Seattle Supersonics remain the front runner to sign free agent Rashard Lewis even though Houston and Dallas are interested. KRIV television reports that agent Carl Poston says that Lewis is obviously interested in Dallas and Houston.
But Poston says the Rockets' chances of signing Lewis could be hurt by the team's salary cap restrictions. Lewis, who's from the Houston area, averaged 16.8 points and 7.0 rebounds for Seattle last season. Lewis began shopping his services after not getting the kind of offer he was hoping for from Seattle.
Lewis reportedly is looking for upward of $80 million over seven years.
