Citizen Expresses Need for Lubbock Community College - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A former candidate for Lubbock city council, Armando Gonzales, spoke out Tuesday about the city's need for its own community college. Gonzales said it would provide opportunity for a better education to residents of east Lubbock.

The school could ultimately lead Texas Tech closer to its goal of 40,000 students, as well.A spokesman for South Plains College says the school is open to being a part of it.
