Lubbock City Council Approves Lubbock Business Park Boulevard

The Lubbock City Council wants to go ahead and allow a portion of Yucca Lane to be called Lubbock Business Park Boulevard. The issue drew controversy when some thought the name would violate the city's new street renaming rules.

On Tuesday, the council decided it was alright, since this portion the street is brand new, and not part of a street already in existence.

The move will become final if it passes a second reading.
