If you were at American State Bank, you might have been surprised to see a manikin on a table. That's because American State Bank has been dedicated to nursing education for more than 50 years. Wednesday, ASB in partnership with the South Plains Nursing Educational Community Coalition received a $250,000 grant to continue those efforts.
The two-year grant led by the Robert Wood Foundation and the Northwest Health Foundation will provide high tech simulators that will be in mobile units to educate nurses and faculty throughout the South Plains. This in an effort to help train more nurses and helps alleviate the nursing shortage.
