Lubbock County Tax Hearing Thursday

Lubbock County residents will have a chance to have their voices heard about a possible tax rate increase.  

Last week, Lubbock County Commissioners voted to increase taxes by nearly 8 percent. That means the tax rate increase on a $100,000 home is about $3 a month.  

There will be a public hearing about the proposed increase at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the County Commissioner's Court located on the 5th floor of the Lubbock County Courthouse.
