We deliver only good news this week including a restaurant not only new to Food for Thought, but to Lubbock as well as Texas.
"If you're looking for great food for everyday life, this is what you want," Dion's Vice President of Store Operations Chris Moya said.
Open just more than a week and already Dion's at 2721 82nd Street serves up a slice of perfection. "We're freshly made every day. Great food is our number one value in the company, and we're looking to find the busy parents on the go that are needing to get something healthy and get on the road."
From tossing to toppings you can watch it all as your personalized order is prepared inside Dion's open kitchen. A concept Moya says allows you to see just how clean their facility is. "All our new employees go through a very extensive orientation program. Part of that program is we like to teach them our internal food safety awareness, and that's just getting them up to date on what cleanliness is and what fresh food is and that we look forward to serve safe food," he said.
Dion's opened in Albuquerque 30 years ago. The Lubbock location is their 14th store and it's their first one outside New Mexico. The Hub City will soon be home to a second store as well.
Moya says, from subs to sandwiches and of course the pizza, freshness is the secret ingredient when you dine with Dion's. "I love it because it's fresh. It's fresh, and I think in today's world it's hard to get that. It's hard to get that."
