The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the Lubbock Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are now one. They held a reception to celebrate the joining of the two entities.
U.S. Representative Randy Neugebauer took part in the reception.
The process to join the two organizations started last year. Earlier this year both boards approved it, and it finally became official. Now, the Chamber of Commerce will add the Hispanic Business Division, and members are pleased with the merging.
"So building on what they've done, and what the Hispanic Chamber has done for over thirty years, we're gonna learn from that and we're gonna move forward," said Jorge Quirno, the Vice President of the Chamber's Hispanic Business Division.
Hispanic members say they are glad to have access to the Lubbock chamber's business resources.
