Republican Randy Neugebauer's Democratic opponent in November's race for Congressional District 19 officially opened his campaign headquarters in Lubbock Friday.
Dwight Fullingam's focus is to garner support from all groups including republicans.
"Well, we have a couple of main focuses. One, we're not going to win the election without three main groups, and Dwight realizes that and the campaign realizes that. One is students, the other is minority groups: Latinos and African Americans, which are very important in this town of Lubbock, and also republicans. We're going to really reach across to the other side. This isn't about a Democratic race. It's not about Republicans. It's about getting a representative for this district," Daniel Bradley, Fullingam campaign manager, said.
Fullingam grew up in Lubbock, and was part of Texas Tech's ROTC.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th.
