The juvenile section of the Lubbock Police Department is searching for an escapee Tuesday.
Police say a pair of teens were on their way to class at the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center Tuesday morning, when they broke away from a guard and made a run for the fence. One was caught, but the other got away.
Police can not release his name at this time, however they can tell us the escapee is a 16-year-old Black male. He stands about 5'4" and weighs 135 pounds. The juvenile was being held on a parole violation for misdemeanor assault and theft.
