Preseason games, especially early preseason games are primarily about looking at players. When the Houston Texans and the Saints meet on Saturday night in New Orleans, neither coach is going to get to look at some players they really want on the field.
Donte' Stallworth, the Saints first pick of the draft, hurt his hamstring three days into training camp and has not practiced since. He may miss the second preseason game as well. Also injured is Jerome Pathon, a free agent receiver the Saints brought in to add more speed to what was supposed to be a strong position. If he can't play on Saturday, there's a chance that Michael Lewis, the beer delivery man who made the team last year as a 30 year-old rookie, could start.
