Five men still remain on the loose after escaping from the Curry County Adult Detention Center, in Clovis, New Mexico, Sunday night. Four other inmates at the detention center are facing six new charges each for allegedly helping the original eight inmates to escape.

Melody Carter is the mother of 20-year old Larry McClendon. She told NewsChannel 11 she has not seen or heard from her son since he escaped, but thinks that he could be hiding in Clovis at his father's house. "The only thing I could think of is to his father and until last night I didn't know who Michael England was, his nickname is Hershey. I've heard a lot about Hershey and Hershey is a buddy of his dad, Larry McClendon Sr.," said Carter.

Michael England or "Hershey" is another one of the escapees and Carter says her son's dad was friends with him.
