HazMat Spill Contained and Deemed Safe - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

An ammonia leak in East Lubbock Wednesday morning, has been contained. 

Lubbock firefighters responded to Arctic Glacier ICe on East 42nd just before 7:30 Wednesday morning. They say the spill was contained to one room at the ice production plant.

However area residents and businesses were advised to remain indoors, with their air conditioning turned off, until the situation could be deemed safe.
