Saved By A Seatbelt: Police Say Teen Would Have Been Tossed Out Of SUV

Emergency workers at the scene say she would have been thrown out of her vehicle if it had not been for her seatbelt. Around three Sunday afternoon Lubbock Police say a 16 year-old girl was traveling on Spur 327, near West Loop 289 when she lost control of her SUV, causing it to flip over. Police say they arrived at the accident to find the girl literally hanging by her seatbelt and emphasized how the seatbelt helped save her from being thrown out.

The girl was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
