Lubbock Stands Down, No Hurricane Evacuees - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock's Hurricane Gustav Unified Command is standing down. The decision to cease operations was made after Lubbock was informed it would not receive any Hurricane Gustav evacuees. 

Lubbock learned that information during a conference call Monday afternoon with the State of Texas Governor's Division of Emergency Management.
