Hurricane Gustav Comes Ashore, Oil Prices Already Beginning to Fall

The damage to gulf coast oil operations still has not been assessed, but shortly after Hurricane Gustav came ashore oil prices already began to fall. So far, that fact has not yet trickled down to gas stations.

NewsChannel 11 continues to monitor the prices at three Lubbock gas stations throughout this holiday weekend. And so far they remain unchanged:

  • United at 82nd & Boston - $3.55
  • Bolton's at 38th & Avenue Q - $3.53
  • Wal Mart at 4th & Avenue Q - $3.53
