Now to our only low performer. Carneceria Sonora is a multiple repeat low performer.

During its last inspection, inspectors cited the butchery and deli at 2837 Clovis Road with eight critical violations.

• Live roaches were crawling on a meat slicer and in a restroom.
• A meat slicer was dirty.
• Steaks were above the safe cold temperature of 41 degrees.
• Gorditos and burritos were not at least 135 degrees.
• Sugar was thrown out because it had lumps in.
• Hot sauce did not have an expiration date.
• A hand sink was dirty and had trash in it.
• And finally, toxic items were stored above food.

Management was not available for comment. According to the report, all violations except for the roach problem were corrected while the inspector was there.
