Knight Fan Urges Continued Support of Coach

A 79-year-old Indianapolis man is on a mission. Bob Carroll wants Hoosiers to continue their support of former Indiana University basketball coach Bob Knight and root for his new team, the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

This week, Carroll took his platform to the Indiana State Fair. He set up shop on a bench outside the swine barn and searched high and low for other Knight supporters. To honor Knight, Carroll has started the Indiana Double T Club. Carroll says that it's a place where Knight fans can come together for information on the coach, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Lubbock.

Knight was dismissed from Indiana in September of 2000 for what school officials called a pattern of unacceptable behavior. He was hired by Texas Tech in early 2001. Knight left Indiana with a 661 - 240 record.
