Police Searching for Suspects in Fatal Shooting of College Student

Just before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Lubbock Police found 21 year-old Colin Matthew Schafer slumped over the steering wheel of his SUV. The Jeep Grand Cherokee was parked in front of the Bank of America ATM at 50th St. and Slide.

Police say that Schafer was shot twice in the chest. EMS took him to UMC where he was pronounced dead at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday morning. Witnesses say the vehicle they saw driving away from the scene is a dark colored 80's model Cadillac.
