Volunteers Needed During Hurricane Ike Evacuee Operation

Volunteers are needed to help during the time Hurricane Ike evacuees are in Lubbock.  Prospective volunteers need to go to the Mahon Library Community Room, 1306 9th Street, in order to get a volunteer badge.

Volunteers will need to bring a state i.d.; preferably a driver's license and any specialized credentials such as EMT or other medical.

Crews will be registering volunteers at the library from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10th.

Prospective volunteers will need to enter at the NORTH door of the library.

Volunteers who registered to help during Hurricane Gustav AND still have their Hurricane Gustav badge, do NOT need to re-register.
