Less Asthma Found in Daycare Kids

After studying about 900 kids under age five in the U.K., researchers have determined that the children in daycare were more than 30% percent less likely to develop asthma than those who were not in day care.

In fact, they found that children who had been in daycare since they were babies had a 75% percent reduced risk of developing asthma.  The theory is the kids who are not exposed to different germs at a young age may not develop a strong immune system and are more at risk for getting asthma.
