Texas Tech received quite a gift Wednesday that is sure to enhance the care at the Health Sciences Center.
A donation from Texas Tech supporter F. Marie Hall will be used to create a 26,000 square foot clinical simulation center on the Lubbock campus. That means "Harvey" and a little sim-baby will be leading the way in training future health care professionals in real life medical decisions.
"High-fidelity simulation program that will include a real o.r. suite, a real birthing suite and icu setup. There will also be a skills type lab that will be incorporated with the hospital environment," said Sharon Decker, TTUHSC School of Nursing.
Decker adds there will also be a virtual reality center that will use all sorts of new high tech devices to help with health care education.
