Lubbock High Coach's Altercation With Suspected Drunk Driver

Some lives were quite possibly saved in Patricia, just outside of Lamesa, thanks to the quick actions of the Lubbock High football coaching staff this weekend.

There's more to football than winning and losing, and while Mike Speck's Westerner team hasn't won a game yet, on Friday they might have witnessed a win in the game of life.

One of Coach Speck's previous stints was at Odessa-Permian and no one knows what could have happened, but he's thankful things turned out the way they did. Coach Speck always speaks of having good character and his team saw his firsthand Friday night.
