New Building, New Students, New School Year

Faculty and staff at Lubbock-Cooper North worked through the weekend to prepare the classrooms for Monday's grand opening. Lubbock-Cooper Superintendent, Pat Henderson says no one really expected to be able to move in until after Labor Day, so he is pleased with the progress.

The cafeteria is not up and running yet, so students "brown bagged" it for today. Some landscaping has yet to be finished, and a baseball and soccer field is still in the works.

All things considered, Henderson says the first day at Lubbock-Cooper North was a big success.
