Reaction after the second of two lawsuits against Lubbock County and state district judge Brad Underwood is dismissed.
Former employee Elizabeth Overstreet claims in both lawsuits that Judge Brad Underwood fired her as retaliation. Overstreet had filed a sexual harassment claim against another employee in Underwood's court. The federal case was administratively closed Tuesday.
Overstreet's attorney tells NewsChannel 11 that they are pleased with the ruling because both lawsuits go back on the books if they win at the state appeals court.
Underwood's attorney says he has not seen the newest court documents, but he too is focused on the appeals process.
