Fire Leaves Slaton Home Total Loss - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Fire destroyed the home of a Slaton city employee Tuesday afternoon. The Slaton Fire Department responded to a home on South 1st Street just before 3:00 in the afternoon. The home was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, but the home appears to be a total loss.

No one was home at the time, however two dogs perished in the fire. A state fire marshal has been called to assist with the investigation.
