A Lubbock woman is charged with manslaughter, following a deadly accident in July.
DPS investigators say 19-year-old Morgan Spears should have yielded the right of way to 47-year-old Louis Jacopetti of Shallowater. Their cars collided July 25th at the intersection of County Roads 7000 and 1300 west of Wolfforth. Jacopetti died from a ruptured aorta, and a broken neck.
Authorities say Spears was eastbound, while Jacopetti was northbound. The intersection is unregulated and legally Spears was obligated to yield the right of way.
Investigators did find alcohol in Jacopetti's vehicle, but investigators say all the containers appeared unopened. The autopsy revealed Jacopetti had very little to eat or drink before the accident.
