Perhaps the biggest rainfall hit Post on Tuesday night. Some farmers there reported getting up to five inches on their fields. One farmer says that much rain might be too much at once but it's been so dry this year that any rain is good. "Well, we got four-and-a-half inches here, which is a little too much, but we're not complaining about the rain. We always want rain in West Texas. We'd much rather have the rainfall than have the dirt blowing," says Jerry Thuett, a Post cotton farmer
Jerry says his crop might come out better than he had expected due to the recent rainfall. He says the final crop will depend on what kind of weather September brings.
