Several Lubbock landscapers are recovering following a bee attack just before 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Lubbock Fire Department responded to East 17th and Guava after the workers somehow disturbed the hive.
The men tried to outrun the swarm, but were stung many times in the process. EMS took at least two of the men to the University Medical Center, after they experienced trouble breathing.
Local officials say it's too early to say whether these bees were Africanized.
