For those that get tired of eating food and riding rides, the shows are a great way to relax and enjoy the South Plains Fair.
One of the family shows at the fair is brought to you by Kenny Ahern. Something people wouldn't know just by watching the show is that the star does it all.
Not only is Ahern the talent, but he designed and built his own stage. He also does all his own lighting and the music, but he started his career in the circus touring as a Ringling Brother for five years.
Now Ahern has done almost 300 shows and traveling to fairs all over the United States. "I bring adults and children up on stage who become my partners in play, not fools to be made of, and they really are my partners. I do a lot of circus skills, a little bit of theater in with what I do and set up just a fun show that I hope people can forget their troubles and just get wrapped up in the fun time," says Ahern.
You can catch Kenny's comedic clown routine three times a day. During the week it shows at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on the weekends at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
