Sheriff Invites You To Spend An Evening With Him & His Officers

The Lubbock County Sheriff's office is stepping up efforts to fight crime in the county. Various agencies are partnering up for the "Texas Night Out". Families are invited to learn more about safety.

Lubbock County Sheriff David Gutierrez says, "When you pull the neighborhood together and get them to know each other, those that live in that community along with law enforcement, it's all about joining their resources so they can understand what they're fighting."

Gutierrez also says, "What the evening is all about is getting a subdivision together, to get to know each other, public awareness, get to know emergency responders uniting the community & the neighborhood."  The Texas Night Out will be on Tuesday October 7th, at the Highland Oaks Community Center, located at 5415 County Road 7540.
