Part of the Lubbock Music Festival will include a special charity performance called "Rockin' For Treasure". This concert will raise money for a little boy named Treasure Downing.
You may recall NewsChannel 11 profiled him during our Children's Miracle Network Telethon. Treasure was diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of six. That was the same year he lost both his mother and grandmother to cancer. All donations from this event will go to Treasure, who now lives with his grandpa.
"Rockin' For Treasure" begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Thirsty Turtle with various local bands sharing the stage throughout the night, and "Truckin Treasure" himself will be introduced on stage at 8 p.m.
