Lane Closures Expected on Loop 289 Monday

If you travel Loop 289 during lunchtime be prepared for some delays Monday. Work on the Spur 327 Project will require loop lane closures Monday.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will periodically close one to two southbound West Loop 289 main lanes at Spur 327 Monday afternoon. The closures will allow for pavement work on the ramp that will connect Spur 327 directly onto the loop.

The work is expected to take several hours to complete and is part of a $24 million project to upgrade the Spur to a limited access (freeway) facility.

The project is scheduled for completion in February 2009. Work will take place weather permitting.
