Gas Leak Leads To Evacuation

Streets were blocked off and a local business was evacuated Wednesday afternoon for safety reasons.  Atmos Energy says a contractor cut a four-inch gas line near two auto parts stores.  This was at the intersection of 4th Street and Frankford Avenue.

Because the natural gas was slowly drifting toward Advance Auto Parts, the store was temporarily evacuated.   Their competitors at the nearby Autozone might temporarily lose natural gas service but Atmos says no one else will be without gas.
