Spur 327 Frontage Road Reduced to One Lane Tuesday

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will reduce eastbound Spur 327 frontage road traffic to one lane beginning Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. The lane closure will allow contractors to continue concrete work on the Spur main lanes and the entrance ramp onto Loop 289.

Eastbound Spur frontage road traffic needing to access north Frankford or to use the Frankford turnaround will not be affected. Message boards have been placed alerting motorists of the lane closure.

The work is part of a $24 million project to upgrade Spur 327 to a limited access (freeway) facility. The project is scheduled for completion in February 2009. Work will take place weather permitting.
