More than 250-people rolled up their sleeves Tuesday as they rolled their cars into the parking lot of the Lubbock Health Department. The annual "Drive-by Flu Clinic" kicked off the first such clinic of the flu season.
"We try to do this every year to reach the high-risk adults and those who have difficulty walking into the building to get their flu shots," said public health coordinator Beckie Brawley.
This reminder for the rest of us, the virus isn't here yet, but flu season is. Keep in mind that you need to get your flu-shot two weeks before exposure, so your body will have time to build immunities. The good news is, this year there are plenty of shots to go around.
