A Lubbock grand jury indicted 23-year-old Jonah Gonzales for aggravated robbery. Gonzales allegedly kicked in the door of the home of an elderly Lubbock man and took his money. But Gonzales claims he was forced to do the crime by someone else.
That man, he says, was 17-year-old Gabriel Gonzales, no relation to Jonah. You may remember that name, though. Gabriel Gonzales is already facing charges in a separate incident. He was charged last week with capital murder in the shooting death of Texas Tech student Colin Schafer at an ATM earlier this month.
Gabriel Gonzales and his cousin, Joe Gonzales, are both charged in connection with that murder, and both are currently being held at the Lubbock County Jail.
