About a month ago, we told you about the newest thing in salons- fish pedicures. Even before the rage reached Lubbock, the state of Texas is banning the squirmy little creatures due to health and safety concerns.
In this new trend, customers from Virginia to Austin were paying for the pleasure of hundreds of tiny fish teething on dead skin from the feet. Now, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is putting a stop to that, saying that some salons might use the same fish to feed off the skin of lots of customers allowing them to share infections as well.
There have been no reports yet of fish customers getting sick, but, the concern is since these tiny technicians are live fish, how could you properly disinfect their tank?
